People who don’t read make me sad. 

Today at work we were watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in the break room, and one of the questions was A yearly newsletter published by the Jane Austen Society of North America is called what? And the choices were:

• Something that had a Jane Eyre reference in it.
• Something with a Wuthering Heights reference in it.
• Persuasions
• And something that had a non-Austen reference of which I don’t remember.

So I’m all “Persuasions, obviously.” but the stupid bitch goes with the JANE EYRE REFERNCE ONE. And I’m like “bitch please, that’s Charlotte Bronte.” and a co-worker goes “You’re really smart! How did you know that?” Ok well first off THANK YOU FOR NOTICING MY INTELLIGENCE but what. So I’m like “Well uh… Persuasion was written by Jane Austen, and the answer the contestant selected was a reference to a Charlotte Bronte book.” and she goes “Yeah, but how do you find out about this stuff?” and I’m like “You mean how did I find out about BOOKS?!?! Especially books that are considered classics?”
